The maximum transmission distance for both is 100 meters, which is a unified requirement of the international cabling standard (TIA/EIA-568). If the distance exceeds this limit, a switch or repeater must be added.
When overseas customers make purchases, they should give priority to Cat5e. Unless there is a clear need to replace old equipment, it is not recommended to mainly promote Cat5.
The quotation sheet should clearly indicate types such as "Cat5e UTP/FTP", etc. UTP (unshielded) is suitable for regular scenarios, while FTP (single-shielded) is suitable for strong interference environments such as industrial and computer rooms.
